Hidden Defendant

A priest murdered, an uncle accused and a niece caught in the middle...

When her uncle, Jack Calhoun, is charged with the brutal murder of a priest, Harper's world is turned upside down. Jack, who suffers from disassociative identity disorder, claims he has no recollection of the crime, but the evidence against him is overwhelming.

As defense attorney Harper takes on the case and delves deeper into her uncle's past, she discovers an unsettling truth--Jack is not the man Harper grew up with. He's become something, or someone, else.

Struggling with her own emotional turmoil, Harper is forced to confront the possibility that the man she once idolized could be capable of murder. Can she uncover the truth in her most personal case yet?

In this gripping third installment of the Kansas City Legal Thrillers series, Rachel Sinclair masterfully weaves a tale of family, loyalty, and the desperate search for answers in the face of shocking revelations.
