Prey in the Dark

Many readers of the first book in the series, Called Into Darkness have asked about the case that unfolded during Chris's time serving at the 32nd precinct-a disturbing encounter that could not be fully explored in the original account.

Prey in the Dark reveals what many have come to call the missing chapter of that story.

A story that made national headlines!

After Chris DeFlorio, a twenty-year NYPD veteran, former FDNY paramedic, and wife Harmony, former FDNY EMT came to the Lord together in 2009, God led them into a ministry that would combine faith and first responder skills needed to help others break free from the spiritual oppression of the devil.

Drawing on decades of law enforcement, medical experience and years from Christian ministry, Chris and Harmony approach the supernatural with the discipline of an investigator and the discernment of faith.

When a Harlem precinct becomes the hunting ground for something unseen, veteran NYPD police officer Chris DeFlorio is drawn into a confrontation that refuses to stay contained. Prey in the Dark is a cinematic, thriller inspired by real events and told with relentless pacing. As routine police work collides with the supernatural, control slips away and the work he's kept out of the public eye for years now risks coming to light. The story unfolds like a film on the page, pulling you deeper with every chapter. Set within the world of Called Into Darkness, this standalone story captures a night that changed everything for Chris and Harmony DeFlorio.
