The Silkworm, the Magician and the Sister Tree

If you have loved boldly and deeply and experienced the loss of that love, you understand how life can fracture in ways you never expected.

With raw honesty and engaging vulnerability, Suzy McNamara speaks to caregivers and to all who have suffered devastating losses. In one year, she lost both her husband of thirty-seven years to early-onset Alzheimer's and her sister, her lifelong best friend and emotional support system, to lung disease.

In this heartbreaking and at times joyful memoir, she chronicles her profound losses and invites you into her story. Through it, she gives voice to the weight of caregiving and the layered grief that follows. She provides hope for finding joy and peace through love, community, and faith.
