Baba Farid Ganj-i-Shakar

This book is a collection of Baba Farid's verses, a brief sketch of his life, and a glimpse into the times he lived in. The verses, enshrined in the holy Sikh scripture, the Adi Granth, have been translated from the original Gurmukhi script. Irrespective of the debate concerning the true identity of Baba Farid in the holy Granth, the verses are rare pearls of spiritual wisdom that rise above such mundane considerations. They shed light on the beliefs, spiritual practices and moral perspective of one of the greatest Sufi saints of all times and must therefore be held in great reverence.
